Thank you for your interest in the role of Director of Education and Learning at Lambeth. 

This is one of the most important leadership roles in our organisation and an opportunity to make a lasting difference to the lives of children and young people across one of London’s most diverse and ambitious boroughs. 

Education sits at the heart of Lambeth’s vision for the future. We want every child and young person to have access to excellent and inclusive learning, regardless of their background, needs or circumstances. We are proud of our strong relationships with schools, trusts and partners, and of the progress that has been achieved through a shared commitment to improving outcomes and tackling inequality. 

However, we know there is more to do. The demands on education services continue to grow, particularly in relation to SEND, inclusion and ensuring that all children can access the opportunities they need to thrive. We are looking for a leader who can build on our strengths, navigate these challenges and help drive the next phase of improvement. 

As Director of Education and Learning, you will lead a broad portfolio spanning school improvement, SEND and inclusion, vulnerable learners, admissions, pupil place planning and strategic partnerships.
